  • A local Kham women in typical traditional headwear of semi-precious stone and colourful dress. Yak were vital to human civilization reaching the the remote and desolate Tibetan plateau. Dung used as fuel provided warmth while other yak products, such as hair, meat and milk provide shelter and sustenance.
